Subversion, 0.8 Branch.

I have pulled down the latest from subversion off the BugNET 0.8 branch, would this code be "broken" at this point?  I cannot run the install, it keeps blowing up, when trying to create the admin user.

I am interested in using bugNet, and I would have to have the "subversion" intergration piece, I think that is only available in the BugNET 0.8  version correct?  Also great job on this, it looks really good.

Thanks,

JMan

Re: Subversion, 0.8 Branch.

And I guess no one really cares about it either.

The 0.8 code is still considered unstable and in alpha stage.  You are correct that 0.8 only has subversion integration right now and it is not entirely stable yet.  You can try downloading the preview release and installing that as it has been packaged up as aposed to the development code which doesn't need installation.  You should be able to just compile and run the code from the repository.

Please be patient when waiting for responsing to posts.  There are a few very active community members and we try to reply when we can but we all have other priorities with our jobs and lives.

Cheers.

Re: Subversion, 0.8 Branch.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry if I seemed impatient. Currently, and maybe it's just me, but if I create a "new database", pull the .8 branch from subversion and run the install.aspx it errors out during the install. So it is true you can "compile" the code from the .8 branch, you just can't "run" the code from the .8 branch.

Re: Subversion, 0.8 Branch.

If you have visual studio you should be able to download the code and run it without installing it.  This is how I develop with the application.    You could grab the 0.8 preview release , install it and then pull down the latest 0.8 branch minus the database and web.config and should have all the latest changes.

If there is a specific error you are having post back and I can try to help you through it.
