ASP version 2.0

Hi,  our BugNet site recently went down for a week - the ISP finally fixed it & sent the following message...

Thank you for contacting us.

The problem appears to have been caused by the recent upgrade of ASP.net to version 2.0. We have reset your account to use version 1.1 and this should correct the problem. If you still experience errors, please let us know and we will investigate further.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Is this a known issue - should I upgrade from my v0.66.2054.0 to the latest - will this prevent it happening if they upgrade to v2.0 in future?

Thanks

Phil.

Re: ASP version 2.0
BugNET will not run under asp.net 2.0 yet.

It sounds like when your ISP upgraded to 2.0 that your virtual web directory got set to use .net 2.0, which BugNET will not run under because it was built using 1.1.

Although I encourage you to upgrade to the latest version at some point it will not resolve the issue you were having with your ISP.

The next version (0.7) of the application will run under asp.net 2.0.
