Yeah, thats the page I found when searching on google. Thats what I tried in my post above as one of my troubleshooting steps, but it didn't work. Although I only tried commenting out the sections, I'm not sure what CLEAR is, I'll have to look it up. Do people running this on Vista have to do this as well to their web.config? 

I finally got past this. I have another issue now which I'll post in a new thread.

Basically, I simply had to comment out all the "duplicates" one at a time as they were reported. But, the difference this time is that I *also* had to remove the entire <configSections> section from the web.config. Once I did that, it loaded past the web.config and started running the install code and everything went fine, that is until I went to load up default.aspx. I'll post that issue in a new thread.
