Re: Installation of 0.7 in Win 2003R2

Hi Davin. Yes, IIS is configurated to use DotNet 2.0, and there are at the moment other applications running in the server (installed after BugNet), each in his own application pool. I didn't have the opportunity to run the wizard of BugNet, because if I try to go to the installation page, I have only a blank page.

Re: Installation of 0.7 in Win 2003R2

I am having same issues here. I installed bugnet v.7 and went through installation fine, then when I click the link that states click here to view your bugnet installation, it takes me to a blank default page in IE. I have also tested the default page in firefox and it complained of a parser error. I tried changing the encoding to UTF-8 and it still gave a blank page. I have also checked permissions and have been very relaxed since it is on a development machine. The site is confirmed working in ASP.NET 2.0 I have a good connection string to the SQL database on the same development machine as well. I even tried to open up the project in VS2005 but it definitely complained about the schema. I would love to get the BugNET application working instead of a blank page.

Re: Installation of 0.7 in Win 2003R2

I'm following the sugestion of Stubbsie and use Firefox 2.0 to test BugNET, and, indeed, I'm having a error message in the page:

"XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://localhost/BugNet/Install/Install.aspx
Line Number 1, Column 1:"

Also in the initial page:

"XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://localhost/BugNet/Default.aspx
Line Number 1, Column 1:"

And the error console give me the next error:

"Error: no element found
Source File: http://localhost/BugNet/Install/Install.aspx
Line: 1, Column: 1
Source Code:
^"

Re: Installation of 0.7 in Win 2003R2
I am able to reproduce this error although the xml parsing error is because the application is clearing the error and IIS6 returns an empty stream , blank page.

I am unsure of the root cause at this point but bare with me as I troubleshoot.

Thanks.
