Project Administration - Categories
With SVN revision 376, with managing any project, none of the categories are being displayed, only 'Root Category'. It is possible to add a new category, but not to list, move or delete. Anyone run into this or have suggestions?

I am still trying to troubleshoot this issue as well.  It seems if you refresh a few times that it will work.  The data is being retrieved from the http handler but sometimes the extjs treeview will not display all of the categories.

Re: Project Administration - Categories

I have fixed a few issues around this and updated the extjs framework to version 1.1.1.  You may wish to try the latest version to see if your problem still exists.

Re: Project Administration - Categories

I updated to revision 380 this morning and the same type of thing is going on with the categories. I usually have to refresh anywhere from 2-40 times for it come up. I know the design changes are to allow a user to create and reposition the categories and need be, which is great, but is the tree designed to auto-sort within a category (or sub-category) or is the goal to allow organizing categories to any position within the treeview?

I'm curious as I've noticed I cannot move a "category 3" above a "category 1" if in the same category (Category A) because it automatically sorts.

  • Root
    • Category A
      • Category 1
      • Category 3

I will have to take a look at it again but I do remember adding the sorting did some funky things to the treeview.  The idea was to sort by category name and allow you to move categories around , from parent to parent, delete and add new ones.
