Is there anyone that would be willing to do a video / screen recording on how to install BugNET?

Looking for someone who is willing to run through a basic bugnet installation and have it screen recording and lend their voice / or do voice over. This video would be uploaded to youtube , or vimeo and linked to the bugnet documentation pages to help new users install the application.

You can find camstudio , an open source screen recorder here http://camstudio.org/

Future videos may include running through various configuration or tasks within the application.(but are not required)

Hi Davin,

I have used Wink for a few years now. http://www.debugmode.com/wink/

I think it is better than CAMStudio for a couple of reasons, but the main reason is your output files end up being tiny. I created a 25 min installation video in under 10 megs for one of our software apps.

Here are the steps to create a video.

1. Capture the video screen then, you load it in the WINK editor.
2. Remove un needed frames (eg a lot of mouse movements).
3. Add in nice "callout" boxes to document your actions and put pauses in on the screen.
4. You can also record audio.
5. Create SWF file with play buttons etc right away.

Un fortunately you need to convert it back to an AVI to upload to YOUTUBE.

Also which version of BugNET do you want the installer video for?

Sounds like a great product. Maybe when 0.8 RC1 is released we can do one for that version. The installation will be the same between 0.7 and 0.8 though.
