Feature Request: Sub-Projects

As we work with this project, we are seeing more and more potential for our developers and it's just impressive. We use the categories as a way for us to split different portions of our software out to different developers. I was presented with a situation where the users have asked if sub-projects could be created or if it would be possible to assign a 'new' issue to a particular developer based on the category.

Our reasoning comes from our current system, where all issues for a project are reported to the project admin and he deals them out. Usually, there are 20-40 issues reported on a slow day and upwards of 100 during testing periods. This works, but the project admin does spend a bit of time sorting through things. Just wondering if would be feasible to incoporate the Project/ManagerUserID into the Component table or if it would hose things up?

The categories do provide a means for a 'sub-project' type of thing. What I'm aiming for, is categories to be assigned to individual users besides the project manager (like a "category manager" type of thing).

Currently, anytime that an issue is submitted on any category, the project manager is notified of a new issue and then he re-assigns to the appropriate developer. A bit time is consumed with 40-50 issues per day. I was hoping that it might be possible to specify which dev gets notified based on the category, a category manager or just a user associated to a category. If no one is assigned to manage an individual category, then send to the project manager.
