How to use Status - Change Log question 

What's a typical route a bug would take through BugNET related to it's Status? 

For example, my Project Administrator creates a bug and it's status is "open".  As a developer, I update the code and change the status to "resolved" and the resolution to "fixed".  The problem with this is that this bug will not show on the change log.  Should the developer be setting the status to "closed" or is this something that the Administrator should do as the projects next version is delivered?

Basically, how should status and resolution be used?

Only closed issues will show up on the change log.

I can tell you what the lifecyle I use is but many have customized their status values or resolutions to their liking.  

  • Open
  • In-Progress
  • Resolved   -> Set resolution
  • Verfiied - custom status value in the db I have added to show that the resolution has been verified
  • Closed - deployed to production.

In 0.8 all workflow has been stripped from BugNET so that it does not impose restrictions on how you would like to work.

Thanks, I was using status/resolution a little differently and I think your lifecycle is better.
