Bug: Non super users cannot create categories (0.7.891.0)

I have a user who has all roles assigned EXCEPT for super user.

When editing categories, the user can create a category on screen, but clicking save does not save the change. If the user tries to drag/drop an error message "An error occurred" is displayed in a javascript alert box.

You do not have to click save on this screen. If you just click off the newly added category it should add it. Also try clearing your cache as some older javascript may still be cached in the browser.

I have the same issue. I have tried all sugested fixes above. I have also noted a difference in all the other use group other than Super Admin is that the level of the category appears the same i.e. super user clicks 3rd level the new entry goes into 4th level as expected, all other users the new category (which doesn't get saved anyway) shows on the level of the category selected i.e. it's not going to the child level, not sure if this helps but could give a clue of where to start in the code. Many thanks for any reply in advance. Just noticed i am using i.e. 6 will test with v7 and firefox and report back if the issue is resolved or the same.

Tested with I.E 7 and Moxila Firefox v2 no joy all the same non super can't add or delete categories.

Looks like I will have to re-open this issue. Can you double check that you are using version 0.7.891.0. It should show at the bottom of each page.
