0.7 Final RC 1 has been released for testing.    This release is only meant to test final changes to the upgrade scripts and handles orphaned records from previous versions.  Please test this upgrade if you can and report your findings in the forums Please do not test this in a live installation where you have not backed up your database first.

BugNET-0.7.936-Install.zip

Upgrade Notes:

  • Upgrade will delete all issues for projects that have been deleted.
  • If a milestone doesn't exist milestone is set to the latest milestone for that project.
  • If fixed in version doesn't exist , the fixed in version is set to null.
  • All user tagged records that no longer exist will be set to the admin user. (edit the latest db script to change this value to another user)
  • If category has been deleted the category is set to the latest for that project.
  • All notification subscriptions are deleted for users that do not exist.

Re: 0.7 Release Candidate 1

I'm very confused... we've been using 0.7 for ages and 0.8 development is well underway, so why is there a recent news posting about 0.7 Release Candidate? Presumably it meant to say 0.8 release candidate? Are you going to actually take the version number backwards, so that 0.7.936 is released as becomes 0.7 Final rather than 0.8?

Re: 0.7 Final Release Candidate 1

The title should have been 0.7 Final RC1. We are very close to the final version of 0.7 and will then focus on version 0.8

Re: 0.7 Final Release Candidate 1

The comment is in place, I almost tried to upgrade my 0.8 beta with this version. (though it was a typo)
The 0.7 is very stable, and the 0.8 looks very good, but still has some bugs... (permission related I think)
IMHO Pushing the 0.8 is what the people will love to see, leaving the history books to deal with the 0.7 version :-)
Thanks for all the work,
Dani

Re: 0.7 Final Release Candidate 1

I'm going to agree with you Dani. However I'm going to go out on a limb here and try to say why Davin is doing what he is. Because 0.8 is based on 0.7 the things that are being fixed in 0.7 are actually going to carry over to 0.8. Therefore these fixes are good for the future thus there's not any real "leaving the history books". The 0.8 upgrade is a much bigger step and will take more time to complete and test.

While I haven't had time to upgrade to RC1 I'm pleased with what I've seen so far.
